Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Food Innovation & Technical Manager to lead the successful commercialization of new food products, menu innovations, and process improvements across our commissary and restaurant operations. This role bridges Culinary, Research & Development, Operations, and Manufacturing to ensure new products are scalable, cost-effective, and consistently executed across all locations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in food manufacturing, restaurant chains, or commissary operations with expertise in product commercialization, recipe standardization, technical documentation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercialization of new food products, menu innovations, and product improvements from development through store implementation.
  • Partner with Culinary, Research & Development, Commissary, Procurement, and Operations teams during product development and pilot testing.
  • Standardize recipes, production procedures, and operating processes to ensure product consistency.
  • Develop and maintain technical manuals, SOPs, production workflows, equipment requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM), product specifications, and recipe documentation.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Engineering on workflow improvements and kitchen optimization.
  • Support new product rollouts through training and operational implementation.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety and quality compliance.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and product consistency.
  • Manage and mentor Technical Assistants and project support teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Culinary Management, Hospitality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Food Product Development, Culinary R&D, Technical Services, or Food Manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience in restaurant chains, commissaries, QSR, or food manufacturing.
  • Strong background in product commercialization, recipe standardization, process improvement, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
