Accounting Assistant Manager | Travel & Tours Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Accounting Assistant Manager to support our finance operations within the travel and tours industry. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in a travel agency or travel management company who can manage technical accounting functions while supporting strategic finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations
• Handle technical accounting tasks including:
• Account reconciliations
• Journal entries
• Financial reporting
• Manage foreign currency transactions and multi-country currency conversions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in BIR compliance, statutory filings, and reportorial requirements
• Conduct financial analysis and benchmarking activities
• Supervise and guide accounting staff when necessary
• Recommend and implement process improvements within accounting operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• CPA license is an advantage but not required
• Experience in a travel agency or travel management company is required
• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
• Experience handling multi-currency and foreign exchange transactions
• Knowledgeable in BIR regulations and compliance
