Assistant Finance Manager
- Location: QC West Avenue (Onsite)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday Shift
This is an impactful leadership role designed for an organized, systems-oriented finance professional ready to oversee daily operations, drive data integrity, and guide a dedicated internal team while collaborating closely with executive leadership and external advisory teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Finance Operations: Ensure the precision of collections and disbursements by coordinating directly with the accounts management and treasury teams.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor inflows and outflows, track treasury positions, flag variances, and serve as the primary internal user and administrator of the company’s cash management system.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely data entry across reporting systems—spanning actual transactions, projections, and balance sheet accounts (inventory, fixed assets, etc.)—by partnering with source-data teams.
- Financial Consolidation: Compile and maintain internal financial dashboards and reports covering collections, disbursements, and project-related expenditures to support management decision-making.
- Strategic Planning Support: Assist management with financial planning by preparing foundational financial runs using approved templates.
- Policy Enforcement & Controls: Implement, enforce, and propose improvements for internal control and accounting policies to maximize operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional & External Collaboration: Coordinate with the external CFO advisory team for compliance reviews and partner with the external Quantity Surveying (QS) team to support cost control initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Direct, manage, and develop two Finance Specialists, with eligibility for promotion to Finance Manager within 1–2 years based on performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance; a CPA license is a distinct advantage.
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance operations, financial reporting, or accounting; prior background in an audit firm is highly preferred.
- Industry Exposure: Experience within the real estate or property development industry is advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, balance sheet management, and data reconciliation; proficient in ERP/accounting systems, spreadsheets, dashboards, and cash management systems.
- Mindset & Soft Skills: Highly organized with extreme attention to detail, a systems-oriented mindset capable of resolving data integrity issues across multiple data sources, and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a policy-guided environment.
