Job Role Overview

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions. This role supports month-end closing activities, product costing, tax compliance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting while maintaining the integrity of accounting records and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly sales reports, product costing analyses, gross profit reports, and trial balances.

Review and analyze books of accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Support month-end and periodic financial reporting requirements.

Tax Compliance & Reconciliation

Prepare tax returns and audit schedules in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and BIR reconciliations.

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax and statutory obligations.

Accounting Operations

Maintain pricing systems and monitor discount rates to ensure proper accounting treatment.

Verify financial transactions and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Coordination & Support

Coordinate with treasury and external parties to facilitate financial transactions and reporting requirements.

Provide support for audit activities and other accounting-related initiatives.

Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as needed to support accounting operations and compliance.

Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Working knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, account reconciliation, and general accounting is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
