Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Marine Business Development Manager to drive business growth by developing new client relationships and expanding our marine insurance portfolio. This role is ideal for a sales professional with strong knowledge of marine insurance products and an established network within the maritime, logistics, and shipping industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new clients for marine insurance products.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage relationships with shipping companies, freight forwarders, logistics providers, importers, exporters, and corporate clients.
  • Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to develop competitive insurance solutions.
  • Prepare client presentations, proposals, and negotiate policy terms.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the marine insurance sector.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, Insurance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within Marine Insurance.
  • Strong understanding of Marine Cargo, Hull & Machinery, P&I, or other marine insurance products.
  • Established network within the shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or maritime industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
