Foreign Exchange Account Officer

Job Summary
The Foreign Exchange Account Officer is responsible for driving business growth by managing assigned client accounts, generating new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. The role focuses on promoting and selling the Company's foreign exchange products and services, providing competitive FX pricing, facilitating transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
The position works closely with internal departments to ensure efficient transaction processing and excellent service delivery while achieving established sales and business development targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales activities for assigned accounts to achieve business and revenue targets.
  • Identify and generate new leads and business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and other channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Present, promote, and sell the Company's foreign exchange products and services based on client requirements.
  • Conduct client presentations and discussions to communicate product features, benefits, pricing, and applicable processes.
  • Negotiate foreign exchange pricing within established authority, guidelines, and risk parameters.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and follow up on prospective and existing client opportunities.
Account & Transaction Management
  • Manage assigned client accounts and ensure timely response to inquiries, requests, and transaction requirements.
  • Facilitate and book foreign exchange orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the relevant internal teams to ensure proper processing, confirmation, and completion of FX transactions.
  • Monitor transaction status and promptly address issues or discrepancies that may affect service delivery.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and records of client transactions and sales activities.
Compliance & Customer Service
  • Ensure that all sales and foreign exchange transactions comply with applicable BSP regulations, company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform required customer and transaction due diligence in accordance with established policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and providing timely and accurate information.
  • Escalate complex client, pricing, or transaction-related concerns to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
Reporting & Coordination
  • Track and maintain records of sales activities, client interactions, leads, and account performance.
  • Prepare and submit sales and account-related reports as required.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Back Office, Compliance, Treasury, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Assist in conducting or coordinating product training and briefings for clients or relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on foreign exchange market developments, products, services, and regulatory changes.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the department head.
Job Qualifications
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's Degree graduate of any 4-year course.
Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in the banking industry or a related financial services field.
  • Experience in Foreign Exchange, Treasury, banking products, financial services, or account management is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in client acquisition, account management, or business development is an advantage.
