Job Overview

We are hiring a strategic and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function of a growing retail organization. This role requires a strong finance professional with expertise in financial reporting, compliance, inventory management, and business partnering to support operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate annual audits and regulatory examinations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial experience.
• Strong experience as an Accounting Manager within the Retail industry.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, financial planning, and internal controls.
• Experience in start-up companies is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
