Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and within established timelines.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, deductions, and leave balances.
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Calculate and process payroll-related taxes, government contributions, and other mandatory deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation for management, Finance, and audit requirements.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee and payroll data.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll records and required documentation.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and data integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume or complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compensation and benefits administration, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience processing Australian payroll, including PAYG, Superannuation, STP, GST, and BAS.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work regulations, Enterprise Agreements, Australian taxation, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HRIS platforms, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong payroll reconciliation, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
