Job Summary
We are seeking a Research & Development Manager (Food Operations) to oversee the technical execution and commercialization of food products across commissary and restaurant operations. This role ensures that new products, recipes, and operational processes are successfully transitioned from development into large-scale production while maintaining quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical implementation of food innovations and process improvements.
- Oversee product commercialization from concept through full operational rollout.
- Standardize recipes and production processes.
- Manage technical documentation, SOPs, BOMs, and product specifications.
- Coordinate pilot testing and operational validation.
- Partner with Operations, QA, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, and Training.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Mentor technical and project support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, Culinary Management, or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in food R&D, product development, technical services, or food manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in restaurant chains, commissary, or QSR operations preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
