Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and coordinate all process activities to ensure optimal product quality within the assigned work cell
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including routers, Technical Support Documents (TSDs), and standard work instructions
- Design and implement tooling solutions that support production efficiency and product consistency
- Create and refine cell layouts to improve flow, safety, and productivity
- Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, planning, and other internal partners to maintain product quality and process alignment
- Investigate internal and external quality issues; lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement robust, permanent corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring and enhancement of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Apply CBS (Crosby, or your organization’s continuous improvement system) tools to support ongoing operational excellence initiatives
- Support the training and development of team members involved in process implementation and sustainment
- Identify and implement innovative process controls to enhance product quality and reduce variation
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial)
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment
- Proficient using Office365 applications
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams
Preferred
- Functional knowledge of tool design using Solid Works a plus
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying structured problem-solving tools preferred
