Job Title: Project Manager (Healthcare PMO)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end healthcare projects, including system implementations, operational improvement initiatives, and enterprise transformation programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and PMO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery against project objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with business leaders.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate project meetings, provide executive-level status updates, and communicate project milestones effectively.
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance, project management methodologies, and organizational standards.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
- Lead project closeout activities, including documentation and lessons learned, to support continuous improvement.
- Support healthcare operations, technology implementations, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- 3–5 years of healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Experience managing healthcare operations, enterprise projects, or system implementations.
- Knowledge of PMO methodologies, project lifecycle management, and project governance.
- PMP certification (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, or eClinicalWorks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Visio, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
