OSH OFFICER
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified OSH Officer responsible for implementing and monitoring Occupational Safety and Health programs and ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company safety standards.
The role will work closely with employees, management, facilities teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate workplace risks and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the organization's Occupational Safety and Health policies, programs, and procedures.
- Support the activities of the Occupational Health & Safety Committee and maintain required documentation and reports.
- Coordinate and facilitate OSH training and safety awareness programs.
- Ensure compliance with RA 11058, DOLE Department Order No. 198-18, and applicable safety regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Identify workplace risks and recommend appropriate control and mitigation measures.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and update safety, accident, incident, inspection, and training records.
- Assist in emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response activities.
- Support government inspections, regulatory audits, and other OSH-related activities.
- Coordinate with Facilities, building administrators, contractors, and service providers on safety requirements.
- Provide guidance to employees and management regarding OSH concerns and recommended safety practices.
- Prepare safety reports, recommendations, and compliance documentation for management.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 3 (SO3) or equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 5–6 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Experience in a corporate, office, or multinational environment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Philippine OSH laws, regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge of RA 11058 and DOLE Department Order No. 198-18.
- Experience in workplace inspections, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training.
- Knowledge of building, fire, electrical, and mechanical safety standards is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
