About the Role
A leading organization in a highly regulated industry is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President – Sales / Business Unit Head to lead one of its most strategic business portfolios. This executive will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide commercial performance, accelerating revenue growth, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The successful candidate will oversee nationwide sales operations, channel management, business development, and commercial strategy while leading large, cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious business objectives. This role is ideal for an accomplished commercial executive with strong P&L ownership and a proven ability to lead business transformation in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall sales and commercial strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
- Drive nationwide consumer sales performance across direct, indirect, retail, dealer, and partner channels.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans that support sustainable growth and long-term profitability.
- Oversee customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle management initiatives to maximize customer value.
- Identify new revenue opportunities, commercial partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, Finance, Technology, and Operations to deliver integrated go-to-market strategies.
- Establish sales targets, commercial KPIs, forecasting processes, and performance management frameworks.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead commercial transformation initiatives focused on operational excellence, digital enablement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Build and develop high-performing leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Present business performance, commercial strategies, and growth initiatives to executive leadership and the Board, as required.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience, including 8–10 years in senior executive or business leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large consumer businesses with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong background in sales leadership, commercial operations, business development, channel management, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth, business transformation, and market expansion.
- Experience managing nationwide organizations with large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent financial acumen, strategic thinking, and executive decision-making capabilities.
- Outstanding leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
